POLICIES, PROCEDURES, & GUIDELINES:
Prior to participating, participants must review the SCGA’s Policies & Procedures.
FORMAT/DIVISIONS:
- All players will participate in an 18-hole, stroke-play championship
- OPEN & SENIOR DIVISIONS
- Open Division: Open to all players; Senior Division: Open to players aged 50 and over.
- Players in these divisions will compete without handicaps.
- NET DIVISION
- Players in this division will utilize playing handicaps based on 95% of each player’s Course Handicap using the November 18 index.
- Awards will be given to those who finish in 1st through 5th place in each division. In the event of a tie for first place only in the open and/or senior division, there will be a hole-by-hole playoff following the conclusion of regular play.
REGISTRATION:
All players must check in at the SCGA registration table located near the outdoor patio behind 18 green. Registration will open at 7 a.m.
STARTING TIMES AND PAIRINGS:
- Starting times and pairings will be e-mailed to players and posted online at scga.org one week in advance of the championship.
- The championship will be a 9 a.m. shotgun start.
- Players are to be at their carts by 8:45 a.m. for announcements. Scorecards and player information will be on the carts prior to the start of play.
TEES & YARDAGE:
- All yardages and course information for each division can be found under the “Championship Information” tab located on the Championship Portal.
- OPEN DIVISION will play from the WHITE tee markers wherever they are situated. Course Rating / Slope: 74.3 / 132 / Approx. 5,838 yards / Par: 73.
- SENIOR DIVISION will play from the GREEN tee markers. Course Rating / Slope: 73.2 / 131 / Approx. 5,627 yards / Par: 73.
- NET DIVISION will play from the GOLD tee markers. Course Rating / Slope: 69.7 / 123 / Approx. 4,989 yards / Par: 73.
STRACKALINE YARDAGE BOOK:
The SCGA and StrackaLine have teamed up to allow our participants the availability to purchase StrackaLine Yardage & Green booklets at a 20% discount. Please click HERE to purchase your StrackaLine Booklet. All booklets conform to the Rules of Golf and may be used in tournament play.
PRACTICE ROUNDS:
- Practice rounds are a privilege, not a right. The SCGA works with a variety of facilities throughout the course of the year, all of which have unique policies and procedures when it comes to practice rounds. These opportunities will be provided at the sole discretion of the host facility.
- We are guests and must follow all facility policies and guidelines when on property. Behavior during practice rounds will be subject to the SCGA Code of Conduct.
- Players may contact the golf shop at (626) 335-4051 or book online at glendoracountryclub.com to arrange a practice round. Tee times can be made no more than 7 days in advance. Based on availability, times are available after 2 p.m. on weekends. Call for availability on weekdays.
- Greens fees will be $60. Cart fee is optional at $20 per player.
DRIVING RANGE:
- The driving range will be available by 7:30 a.m. the morning of the championship.
- Range balls will be provided compliments of Glendora CC and the SCGA.
FOOD SERVICE & PURCHASES:
- The snack bar will be open at 7 a.m.
- The SCGA will provide lunch following this event in the main dining room.
- Drinks will be available for purchase during lunch at the cash bar.
RULES OF PLAY:
- The Rules of Golf as approved by the USGA and The R&A govern play.
- Local Rules and Terms of the Competition can be found on the SCGA Hard Card and the Notice to Players.

GOLF CARTS & PULL/PUSH CARTS:
- Golf carts are included with the entry fee; however, players who are able and willing to walk may do so.
- There will be a maximum of two carts per group and two bags per cart. Players wishing to ride will be expected to share a cart with another player.
- Each player is entitled to one seat in a cart. If a player brings a caddie, the caddie may ride provided there is a vacant seat in one of the carts. Otherwise, either the player or the caddie must walk.
- Drivers must be at least 16 years of age (or older if club policy dictates).
- Pull or push carts are permitted.
CADDIES & SPECTATORS:
- Players may provide their own caddie (see section on golf carts). Spectators are permitted but are required to walk unless those with ADA disabilities. Spectators seeking to use a golf cart due to a medical or ADA-related reason must contact the SCGA in advance of the qualifier. Spectators must adhere to all policies set forth by the facility and cart fees apply.

DRESS CODE:
Appropriate golf attire must be worn, including adhering to any facility-specific policies.
CANCELATIONS & REFUNDS:
- To withdraw for any reason prior to the start of a SCGA competition, a player must notify the SCGA Championships & Golf Operations Department at champs@scga.org.
- Failure to notify the SCGA will subject the player to suspension from future SCGA competitions.
- Refund Policy:
- Cancelation prior to the entry closing date: Full refund less a $20 administrative fee.
- Cancelation after the entry closing date and more than 48 hours prior to the start of the competition: 50% of the entry fee.
- Cancelation within 48 hours of the start of the competition: No refund.
